12. FINANCIAL
RESULTS.
12.1Revenue
As per the National Forests
Policy, Forestry is to be regarded as a Welfare Activity necessary for the
survival of mankind. The revenue from Forestry Sector shall be only incidental. The State
Government has by and large followed this policy. The amount of forests revenue collected
during the period from 1985-86 to 1999-2000 is given below -
